John's LA CD Release Party

John had a wonderful turn out for his CD release party at Catalina's Jazz Club in Hollywood.  The party turned into a going away party for both of us as we head out to MI and NY soon.
I had not heard John perform in years (at home with Maya while he plays) and I was busting with pride.  He has come into his own as a performer, gracing the stage with confidence and poise.  His piano playing is out of this world and his voice was beautiful!
Richard McDonnell, owner of MAXJAZZ, even made it from St. Louis.
John is truly going to miss Chuck, the bass player he records and plays with.  Chuck told me he looks at John as his son.
Jeremy and Paul need no introduction and we thank them both for many years of friendship and fun!
John's lyricist, K. Lawrence Dunham...
And many friends were there which left me feeling so emotional...
LA has been a wonderful place for us and we will miss so many aspects of the city, most notably the people!  We can't wait to be back to visit and hope to see many of them on the east coast as well.
